For nearly two decades, we have played a vital role in supporting farmers, improving productivity, and strengthening the agricultural sector nationwide.
Barash Factory holds a unique and historic position as the first feed factory and the first feed company established in Kurdistan. As a pioneer of the industry, we helped lay the foundation for modern feed production in the country, setting benchmarks for quality, reliability, and innovation that continue to guide our operations today.

Barash Factory has played an important role in supporting agricultural development in the Kurdistan Region by investing in corn drying technology and creating a reliable market for local farmers.
For many years, corn farmers in the region faced challenges because there were limited buyers for their harvests, reducing the incentive to cultivate corn on a larger scale. To address this challenge, Barash introduced modern corn drying facilities that allow locally harvested wet corn to be processed efficiently and used in feed production.
Today, Barash purchases more than 40,000 tons of corn annually from local farmers. The company buys freshly harvested wet corn, dries it using specialized drying technology, and utilizes it as a key ingredient in the production of poultry, fish, cattle, and sheep feed.
This initiative has helped encourage more farmers to cultivate corn, creating new economic opportunities for rural communities while strengthening local agricultural production. By supporting local growers and integrating their crops into the feed manufacturing process, Barash contributes to a more sustainable agricultural ecosystem and helps keep value within the local economy.
